Woodcock Shooting - Brora, Sutherland, Northern Scotland

General Game season - 1st October - 1st February - we only shoot Woodcock from the 1st week of DECEMBER and we limit numbers of birds shot this iscompany policy from 2019 to protect our native birds 

Brora Sutherland 

Exciting woodcock shooting over large  acreage, on three large sporting estates in Sutherland includes access to Grouse .

Woodcock

Walked-up using spaniels/setters/pointers with a maximum of 4 guns. In addition evening flighting of woodcock can be provided. This normally lasts for 30 minutes at dusk, and can be testing and exciting shooting. Good bags can be expected. . Best Time of the season November-January No charge for dogs.

Mixed shooting

A mixture of woodcock, pheasant, snipe and rabbit shooting can be also be arranged. An estate keeper will accompany the guns at all times and will provide dogs. Your own dogs are welcome!

Accommodation

  • Can be arranged in the local hotel or B&B.
  • 2-3 Local Lodge's are available if required for larger parties.


The Estate.

The east Sutherland coastal area is stunning, with a wonderful deserted beach of clean white sand at Brora. Whether for fishing, shooting, golf walking, beach combing or visiting historic sites and villages. Kintradwell is ideal for a house party of up to 12.

Royal Dornoch golf course is only fifteen minutes' drive away, and there are five other golf courses in the area. Sea fishing can be arranged from Brora as, occasionally, can rods on the Brora and Helmsdale rivers.

Accommodation - varies from estate or land owner area - Hotels and B&B's in abundance.

Location

Fly into Inverness Airport Hire vehicle and travel to the ereas 2-3 hours from Inverness city. We can arrange to collect and return your party for £250.00 - £350 depends on party size.

Cost

POA but budget for £295 per gun and DBB from £110-£200 depending what you want.
