General Game season - 1st October - 1st February - we only shoot Woodcock from the 1st week of DECEMBER and we limit numbers of birds shot this iscompany policy from 2019 to protect our native birds
Wigtown and other local areas
Covering a number of estate’s of 22,000 acres in woodland rides we have the opportunity to shoot 6 times per year over 3 days each time woodcock and snipe we have great snipe wild pheasant and if you want duck flighting its in the cost.
Accommodation various from self catering for groups of eight includes:
- B&B from £75
- hotels in Newton Stewart or Wigtown at £90.00 DBB.
Program
Day 1 (Sunday if possible)
Bob Glynn will be your personal liaison while on the estate to ensure an enjoyable safe and successful shooting program.
2 – 3 or 5 days and longer.
Breakfast is from 0730am till 0845. We meet outside hotel or we will allocate a meet point in Wigtown, safety talk at 9am first day. Please bring insurance we will provide game licenses in your cost. We will transport you to the shooting area. Each morning lunch is provided in the field each day for the party and dinner commences at 19.30 each evening. A cook is hired to cater for the party.
Cost
Based on 4 nights and 3 days shooting per gun with Hotel not costed in : Note we can do 5 days hunting here back to back
- £295.00 per gun per day minimum 4 guns.
- £285 for 6 guns.per day
- £265 for 8 guns. per day
Nearest airport is Prestwick, Ayrshire 2.20 hours away. Either hire a car or we can at £300 per x 4 collect and return you to the airport and collect and return you daily from the shoot areas.
If in Hotel cost £95 per gun per night DBB. creebridge hotel in Newton Stewart or Hillcrest House, Wigtown.
